SF with Emily.

As soon as Charlotte left...
my lovely uni friend Emily arrived, just in time for Spring Break (SPRING BREAK BABY WOOHOO!)

After she got over her jet lag on Wednesday night and did a bit of shopping on Thursday while I was in my classes, Spring Break officially begun!

I took her to Lori's Diner in Union Square for her first all-American experience.

We started off with some shakes...

...and then I went for fish and chips. Not really all-American, but oh well!

The next day was definitely Fun Friday!

We started off at the Embarcadero by the Ferry Building, and walked alllllll the way to Pier 39. Good job it was a beautiful day!

The sea lions were also out, so we hung around for a bit and watched them doing their thing.

Afterwards we tested our legs and walked down (and then back up) Lombard Street, the steepest street in San Francisco.

Emily wasn't quite expecting the street to be quite so steep, but we made it!

It's isn't a great idea to jump on a hill...it's really easy to fall. Just saying.

After wearing ourselves out on Lombard Street, we headed down to Washington Square Park in North Beach to relax.

The sun was setting by that point, so we went for dinner at the nearby Tony's Pizza, which is meant to be the best slice in San Francisco.

We also got a great window seat overlooking the park!

After enjoying our little starter (which they nicely gave us for free)...

...we moved onto the main event. The Margarita!
And it didn't disappoint.

It even got the thumbs up from Emily - a world-renowned pizza expert.

I clearly didn't think it was bad either.

And that pretty much sums up our short time in San Francisco!
We'll be back in a week though - but we've got Los Angeles, San Diego and Orange County to explore first!
