Until The Next Time...

Guess who's finally home?!

The past year feels like it was a dream - I'm already asking myself, 'did it all really happen?'
That's one of the reasons why I wanted to keep this blog to begin with - I now get to re-live all of those memories and fun times, and remind myself of the experience.

The other reason was to keep you all involved in everything I've been doing, so thanks for reading! I hope you've all enjoyed the journey as much as I have.

Who knows, maybe one day it'll begin all over again - and I'll blog once more!

So until the next time...

Lots of love, Beth.

The Best Of Toronto.

On the last day, we explored Toronto - beginning at the CN Tower, the city's tallest structure.

After braving the glass floor...

...we had our lunch in the restaurant, overlooking the city's skyline!

Afterwards, we caught the ferry across to Toronto's islands, beginning at Ward's Island on a lovely stretch of sand...

...before walking along to Centre Island, THE summer destination in Toronto.

It was so nice to get a different perspective on the city - it felt like we were a million miles away, but look how close we actually were!

And that's everything! I'd love to go back to Canada, we enjoyed it thoroughly. I also had the trip of a lifetime with Emi - can't wait for the next time!

Blue Jays on Canada Day.

Happy Canada Day!

Today we went to the Rogers Centre to watch the baseball - the home team Toronto Blue Jays against Detroit Tigers.

It was also really fun to go to on Canada Day - we were feeling the Canadian spirit!

And even better - the Blue Jays won! Go Blue Jays!

Niagara Falls.

And so we left the US, megabus-ing across New York State until we finally reached Toronto.
I'm glad we managed to fit Toronto into this trip - mainly because my parents used to live here (many moons ago). In a way, Toronto is to them what San Francisco is to me.

Though we're staying in Toronto, on our first day in Canada we took a day trip to Niagara Falls!

Our first stop was at a local winery, where we learned all about ice wine - a local speciality, apparently!

Our next stop along the way was a lovely little town, Niagara-on-the-Lake - what I (wrongly) imagine all Canadian towns look like.

Reppin' Canada (because I was cold). Also because Canada is cool!

Our next stop was the Whirlpool, where all the water from the Niagara River meets and changes direction.

I did NOT want to be the people in the aerial car!

And then we reached the Falls themselves! Wearing our very fetching blue rain ponchos, we boarded the Maid of the Mist boat and travelled virtually underneath the Canadian side of the Falls.

Needless to say, we got soaked! But it was hilarious - and well worth it for the views.

We also managed to get some good shots of both the American and Canadian sides (from dry land, thankfully).

An amazing day!
