Charlotte's Visit Part 5: City Hipsters.

Over the past couple of days we've been living the city life.

We decided to have a chilled out Sunday - as you've probably seen, we've been pretty busy!

After a lie-in, we headed to Castro to get a sandwich from Ike's Place, a San Francisco staple.
They do lots of vegan sandwiches, so I got Meatless Mike. We took them to Dolores Park, which is nearby in the Mission, for a picnic.

Afterwards we just hung out and soaked up the sunshine for a few hours. I love Dolores because it feels like a real local park - have I been here long enough to be considered a local yet?!

On Monday we got the bus to the Marina district, and walked around at the Palace of Fine Arts. It used to hold the Exploratorium, but that's now in the process of being moved to one of the piers.
The Palace itself is very pretty though! It's the only thing left over from the 1913 World's Fair here in San Francisco.

Now, a lot of people have their wedding pictures taken here. I can see why!

We then just walked along the Marina towards Chestnut Street, where we had lunch in one of the cafes and browsed the boutiques.

It's weird that to think of it as our last full day together!
