Luck Be A Lady.

Over the past few days, we've thoroughly explored the Strip.

On Tuesday, we took the bus up to the northern end of the Strip, and spent the rest of the day wandering down the eastern side.

We began at the Wynn, where we pretended to stay (when someone checking in told us she 'LOVED the Wynn', we agreed as if we could afford to stay there too). It really is beautiful!

Any hotel with its own waterfall gets the thumbs up from me.

After, the Palazzo and the Venetian...

...Just catching the opera, you know...

...before a bit of gambling on the machines.

After losing three dollars (and we're still not quite sure how), we decided the machines were NOT for us.

Later in the afternoon, we stopped in my favourite hotel, Paris, for a drink at Gustav's Bar - which we're much better at!

Deux pints, s'il vous plait.

On the evening, we thought we'd have a drink at Coyote Ugly, one of the bars in our hotel.
It was definitely our kind of place!
And by that, I mean they played 'Come On Eileen' and we didn't even request it.

From there, we headed over to Pure nightclub in Caesar's Palace.
By some wonderful twist of fate, we ended up being granted table service and free drinks!
We definitely preferred Pure to Marquee, because, as Rach said, 'at least the songs have words!'

On Wednesday, we definitely had a slow start to the day, and mostly just lounged at the pool - but we did manage to make it to the Bellagio to see the fountain show!

On the evening, we decided to have a change of pace - so we went to see the
Tournament of Kings at Excalibur, which promised a feast, jousting and a lot of fun.

We were very excited when we picked up our tickets from the hotel earlier in the day...

Before we headed to the 'fun dungeon', we thought we'd try our hand at the blackjack machines again. We actually managed to win this time!

The proof!

Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take any pictures once we arrived at the Tournament of Kings - but it was certainly filled with hilarity. As Rachel said, 'I'd never have thought I'd see a grown man dressed as a wizard running around a sandpit!'

We ate our feast with hands only - it's meant to be the Middle Ages after all - and I managed to get this cheeky snap of Rach drinking her soup straight from the bowl. A very classy evening. Hazzar!
