On Campus.

The campus here at SF State is small compared to most other universities in the US - some even have whole towns built around them - but then that's what you get for being right in the city! It's about the same size as my campus in Hull, but with double the amount of students (nearly 30,000) so during the day it feels pretty hectic.

SF State has some interesting history - the university is over a hundred years old, which in itself is an achievement over here. Also, in the Sixties this was a hot campus for student protests against the Vietnam War. It's great to be studying on a liberal campus in the most liberal city in America!

Here are some of my snaps from around campus! Some of them were taken on different days hence the weird weather changes.

Welcome to SF State.

This is the Quad, right in the middle of campus. That's the library on the right. So far I've only been in to get coffee.

On a sunny day everyone lazes around on the grass.

Including us! Vicki, Alex and Morgan.

This is the outside of the accommodation - standard concrete jungle.

The Muni metro line stops right outside SF State, so to get to downtown it only takes about 30 minutes - handy!

We're also lucky to have Lake Merced right on our doorstep - it's 4 miles all the way round. I haven't made it all the way around just yet.

I caught it on a particularly foggy and miserable day.
