So today we all went to the Red Bull Flugtag, meaning 'Fly Day' which was an event being held in the San Francisco Bay, right next to AT&T Park. Though it looks sunny, the weather's definitely feeling more crisp - like it's actually November!
If you look closely, you can see the crowds of people watching the flugtag from the ballpark!
Basically, what happens in the flugtag is that teams build flying machines, which they then try and launch over the bay - the winner is the machine which gets the furthest.
It's more difficult than it looks - most of the machines just fell into the water, although a few managed to get into the air. My personal favourite was the Mystery Machine (even though it just plopped into the bay), but the best were the ones built like actual planes -the effort people had put in to building their machines was crazy!
We also had prime seats right next to the bay (though it may or may not have been restricted access), and spent the afternoon cheering for the best teams.
Free (and usually crazy) events like this are never-ending here in San Francisco!
